Fridays are where grit gets built.
Research consistently shows that creative education builds the skills children need most for life. Angela Duckworth's work on grit shows that perseverance and the ability to push through difficulty are stronger predictors of success than talent or IQ — and creative classes are where grit is built naturally. Art, music, performance, and reading all require children to sit with difficulty, try again, and find their own way.
Harvard's Project Zero confirms that arts education strengthens critical thinking and problem solving. Students in arts-rich environments show greater empathy, stronger collaboration, and higher self-confidence. Music training strengthens the same neural pathways used in language and math. Brené Brown's research reminds us that creative expression is one of the most powerful ways children build courage and connection.
At New Heights, Friday Enrichment is the space where children discover who they are, what they're capable of, and how to show up for others.
Four enrichment classes.
All levels welcome.
